THE CLIENT – Insiders Clothing, a loungewear brand changing the industry through sustainability and inclusivity

THE CHALLENGE – the founders wanted to create something that anyone (men/women/non-binary folks) could wear while working from home, that is both comfortable and stylish. They want to do this consciously, minimising the impact of production by using fabric surplus and high-quality materials that will last a lifetime. This is already a crowded market and to create this brand we needed to connect and resonate with the right audience.

THE PROCESS – We started with establishing the brand strategy, as this was going to shape the creative direction of the branding. We honed in Insiders’ values, personality and unique selling points and after that we created a bespoke brand with unique typography and iconography, which reflected these values. Another really important aspect of this brand is the fact that it’s genderless. The classic workwear lines and cuts are suitable for all body shapes and sizes. This was something I was keen to get across on the branding, so the ‘ii’ reflects that individuality and lack of gender bias.

THE SUSTAINABILITY STORY– This brand uses deadstock mainly to create limited edition collections that cater to the need of uniqueness from the audience. The production of the the garments is also carefully curated in factories that uphold workers’ rights and pay a good living wage. By creating these garments that are versatile, with classic workwear cuts that will never go out of fashion, Insiders is catering for the conscious consumer, who wants to minimise their wardrobes and by that cutting their carbon footprint.
